How we do it
When sealing asphalt pavements, we follow a number of work procedures:
- We clean and seal minor cracks
- We carry out a test in order to estimate how the solution will penetrate the pavement and to determine the mix proportion
- When we spray, the solution instantly penetrates the asphalt
- Areas with extra need, are sprayed by hand
- Areas that need extra are hand sprayed
- We protect areas that are not supposed to be sealed.
When is the optimal time to seal asphalt pavements?
The most optimal time for sealing is:
- When 30% of the stones in the top layer is visible
- When stone loss takes on
- Before the asphalt pavement is seriously damaged
- When your SMA is more than 2 years old.
